Jadavpur is a locality in South Kolkata famous for the famed Jadavpur University, which is often in the news for the dynamic and bold student activities as well as the high quality of education in various fields of engineering, arts and science. Jadavpur is bound by Dhakuria to the north, Tollygunge to the west, Santoshpur to the east and Garia to the south. The 8B bus terminus is the prominent transport point and is also one of the famous adda sites of the youth.
